Today, Microsoft announced that several new games would be coming to the PC Game Pass from Bethesda and id Software.

There are five new games coming with this PC Game Pass update, all classic titles from Bethesda and id Software: Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein 3D, Quake 4, Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, and Elder Scrolls Adventures Redguard.

Each game is coming to the PC Game Pass and are available now. On top of that, you can also download Elder Scrolls Arena, Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall, and Quake Champions for free from the Microsoft Store app, if you can stomach it.

Several weeks ago, we covered the fact that Xbox was testing some of Bethesda and id Software’s classic titles on the Xbox Insider program. These tests were to allow testers to see how the games operate on modern hardware and its launchers. Now it seems that those tests are over, and the games have been deemed viable for play.

Each one of these games is better than the last, it’s exciting to see more classic games from two amazing studios coming to modern platforms and available for players to try. At the same time, for those who are subscribed to Game Pass, you can also buy these games at a discounted price if you want to keep them permanently.

The oldest game in this collection is Wolfenstein 3D, which first came out in 1992, while the most recently released title is Quake 4, which came out in 2005, which is still 17 years ago.

Quake and Wolfenstein are two members of the trifecta that created first person shooters, along DOOM, all games created by id Software and now supported by Bethesda and Microsoft.

If you’re interested in playing any of these new titles, you can play them now on PC Game Pass and the Microsoft Store.
