A limited time demo for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is being released today, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo have confirmed. The demo will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S from today, and it will be playable until September 26th. The demo will require an internet connection to function at all times,and will not be playable or downloadable after the 26th. The multiplayer portion of the demo does not require any subscription to online services.

The description for the Wo Long Fallen Dynasty limited time demo reads, “The action-packed demo features a glimpse inside a dark Three Kingdoms world gone mad and the chaotic struggle to save a once beloved land now infested by demons. Featuring swordplay ripped from the Chinese martial arts, the demo showcases the strategies and swiftness of battle, while also giving gamers a taste of online multiplayer, the character creator, and in-game abilities including vertical exploration and the importance of morale.”
Those who are able to clear the demo will receive the Crouching Dragon helmet special item in the full version of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty as a bonus. A survey will also be issued through the demo so players can give feedback that Team Ninja can use to make any changes during Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s continued development. Further, Team Ninja are starting a Twitter campaign called Wo Long Highlights with the hashtag #WoLongDemoEU. Those who tag the official account and share a highlight with the hashtag have the chance of winning one of ten t-shirts.
The official description for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty reads, “Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.”
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is expected to release in early 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, and Game Pass.
