Trackmania is making its return to console in 2023, it has been confirmed by Ubisoft. The game is also coming to cloud systems too. The confirmed platforms for Trackmania are PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna and Windows PC. Trackmania will be a free to play title and include both cross play and cross progression. Updates will also maintain parity across all platforms.
When Trackmania arrives on these platforms players will have access to over 280,000 player created tracks to race on, and also get access to the editor to create their own tracks. There will be seasonal campaigns every three months and Royal and ranked game modes. While the game will be free to play there will be two premium tiers that will grant access to esports events like the Cup Of The Day. Premium also grants access to Trackmania Clubs where players can create their own campaigns and competitions, have private rooms, and share customisations. A new feature is being added where players can unlock unique skins through completing challenges and achievements in the game.
In our preview for Trackmania back in 2020, Stefan wrote, “It’s a game that will feel instantly familiar to fans of the series, with a real focus on pure time trial racing through rather abstracted tracks. Make it to the finish line and it will tempt you into hitting the “improve” button by showing your time against the next medal or others on the leaderboard, every successive attempt pitting you against the ghost of your best previous run.”
