The Ascent is getting some new DLC this month in the form of Cyber Heist, which will be available from August 18th. This piece of content will add a new main mission, some side missions, new locations, new weapons including melee ones, and other things that have yet to be revealed. The reveal trailer for The Ascent Cyber Heist shows that players will be facing off against hordes of enemies, and that one of the melee weapons is a sword.

In addition to the Cyber Heist DLC, Curve Games also revealed two more The Ascent items. The first is The Cyber Edition Physical Edition that will be available on PS4 and PS5, which launches on September 2nd. This physical release will include the main game, a steelbook, an artbook, the CyberSec Pack, the Cyber Warrior Pack, and the Cyber Heist DLC. There is also an Xbox edition but going by Curve’ Games’ own website it is only available in select locations like France and Spain. The second item available is a limited edition Noghead plushie, which has been made in partnership with Makeship. The Plushie is set to ship on November 19th, and it is priced at $27.99. As of writing it has only been funded at 1%.

In our review for The Ascent, Nick wrote, “Through no fault of its own, The Ascent has a bit of a mountain to climb. With its cyberpunk-adjacent sci-fi world, you can’t help but make some comparisons to Cyberpunk 2077, which was always going to be a tough act to follow, even with all its bad press. Despite my trepidation, The Ascent has turned out to be pretty darn good. The Ascent has got all the grimy character that you would want from its sci-fi cyberpunk setting, and there’s a great combat system to go with it. Simply put, The Ascent deserves your attention.”
