A new Street Fighter 6 trailer has been released focusing on the game’s real time commentary feature. In this trailer, commentators Tasty Steve and James Chen give their views of the matches as they take place. The trailer also shows some gameplay with the likes of Guile and Luke fighting it out on an aircraft carrier, as well as Chun Li and Jamie battling in Japan.

Tasty Steve will be providing play by play commentary while James Chen is the colour commentator to give more context. There could be more commentators announced in the future. Street Fighter 6 is set to be released in 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. The latest game in Capcom’s long running fighting series has also freshened things up by adding a hub to run around in, though the full details on what players can expect in the hub are unknown. Though it could be an area when you customise your fighters and find other elements to enhance the game experience.

In our preview for the game, Miguel wrote, “Street Fighter 6 delivers an addictive blend of the best parts of prior entries. Attacks have the weight and oomph of Street Fighter 4, with familiar ink and paint-effects highlighting your EX and charged attacks. The Third Strike parry makes a comeback, but now in the form of an easy to execute long-lasting Drive Parry that stays active as long as you have the meter for it. V Arts don’t return, but the high-velocity footsies and rapid combos of Street Fighter V do…

I guess that’s what Street Fighter 6 is, really. It’s fresh, it’s different, and bewilderingly so. A franchise afraid to change it’s socks for the last decade has gone and swapped out the whole dang wardrobe, but even wilder than the big change itself is how absolutely perfect it is.”
