Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games have released new patch 1.02 for MultiVersus, alongside the previously teased character Gizmo from Gremlins.

The new update for MultiVersus brings with it the aforementioned critter as a playable character, as well as balancing changes, a hitbox overhaul, and more.

Here’s a brief blurb for the Mogwai creature:

Gizmo is now available to play in MultiVersus, the free-to-play platform fighter developed by Player First Games. The adorable Mogwai creature from the Gremlins franchise who must avoid bright light, water, and eating after midnight arrives as part of MultiVersus Season 1 and is a Support class character with a unique moveset that shows off his charm and talents, including the ability to attach to teammates to help absorb incoming damage. Gizmo’s attacks and specials are on display in a newly revealed gameplay trailer featuring his musical note projectiles, iconic pink toy sports car, and signature bow and arrow, as well as his Combat Gizmo character variant which is available now for in-game purchase.

Here’s a new trailer for the furball:

In case you missed it, we did a write up on the original closed alpha with impressions on all currently announced fighters – you can find our preview here.

MultiVersus is currently in open beta as mentioned above, across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
