Do you like cute games like Hamataro, Skate Bird, or Animal Crossing? If you answered no, then you are a monster or it’s just not your niche. At PAX West 2022, we will be previewing a game called Hamster Playground from We Dig Games, which also just got a release date.
Hampster Playground is set to release on August 22, 2022, on Steam Early Access – and there are also plans for the game to be released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox once it leaves early access.
Prior to We Dig Games reaching out to us, we had never heard of Hamster Playground. In fact, if you look at their YouTube channel, they have less than 150 subscribers. The reason why we are addressing this is that this cute hamster game has the potential to be something kids and adults will love. So what is Hamster Playground and why should you look it up?
According to We Dig Games, Hampster Playground is a “Tamagotchi/Sims/Manager with cute mini-games (like skateboard racing and eating contest). Players will be able to create their own Hamsters and Hamster Home. Players will be responsible for all Hamster needs, training, and furnishing the Hamster House!”
The game is listed as having a single-player and multiplayer mode. The game will receive additional content after launch expanding on the games you can play with friends.
