Grand Theft Auto 6 appears to have suffered a massive leak this morning with images and development footage apparently appearing online. While it is not verified this is all confirmed footage, there is a lot of detail from environment design, voice acting, and debug screens that show parts of Vice City, the surrounding area, and two player characters. One of those characters is a woman and the other a man, which matches up with previous reporting.

The first video shows a hold up in a diner with the female character pointing a gun at NPCs to get money, while also speaking to them. Other NPCs can be heard talking back too. Most of the characters are not fully modelled, lacking detail in their faces, which could make this more legitimate of this being a development build of GTA 6 – it’s also worth noting that there are always a lot of placeholder elements when games are so deep in development and far away from release.

A second video appears to show the male protagonist talking to an NPC who believes in a number of conspiracy theories. The script even mentions GTA V character Jay Norris – the CEO and founder of the app LifeInvader. Other videos and screenshots do have views of other brands from the GTA Universe as well.
Another video shows alleged gameplay from GTA 6 in a strip club though whether this is in Vice City or a possible other location is unknown. The character names may also be shown in this clip with the lady called Lucia while the guy seems to be called Jason, who appear to be the main characters for GTA 6. This footage also shows both of the main characters in the same location together, which would link back to GTA V where the main characters there would be on the same mission.
Over 90 videos and images have been leaked for what appears to be GTA 6, with many of them now hosted on pastebin. If this is all real then Rockstar will have to deal with this major data and security leak. The leak goes far beyond a few screenshots and videos with source code also apparently leaked for Grand Theft Auto 6. If that is true, then it could impact GTA 6’s development from an investigation and new security measures coming into effect, similar to how Cyberpunk 2077 was affected by the CD Projekt Red leak in early 2021.
Again, it must be stressed that while the videos and images are very convincing and look authentic, there is still the chance, however small, that this could be a fake or an elaborate hoax. Rockstar may choose not to respond to avoid giving the leak any sense of legitimacy, but we shall see.
