Here’s a rundown on the game:

Players control both of the demon hunting sisters in this 2D side-scrolling action game. Players must master each of the sisters’ unique abilities and attributes to overcome the challenging stages with bosses awaiting their arrival. They’ll also be able to find new routes through each stage using the 2 characters’ abilities, keeping play throughs fresh.
Other features include 2-player co-op with special actions, extensive difficulty options with the “Style System,” unique changes on repeat plays, and most importantly the quality and challenge players have come to expect from Inti Creates titles, this time with a new gothic horror aesthetic.
Playable Characters
The stars of Grim Guardians are the long-distance focused “Shinobu Kamizono” and the close-range brawler “Maya Kamizono.” Players will need to consider the situation when choosing which sister to control as they make their way through the castle, investigating the mystery of what happened to their school and its students.
- Shinobu Kamizono (VA: Emi Uema) – Elder of the Kamizono sisters, Shinobu is brimming with confidence, but still tends to make careless mistakes. She excels at long-range attacks using her rapid-fire submachine gun, taking out her demonic foes from a safe distance!
- Maya Kamizono (VA: Chinami Hashimoto) – Younger of the sisters, Maya supports her strongwilled sister from the shadows with her reliable personality. A technical close-range attacker, creating various weapons from origami. Use her various weapons to deal massive damage!
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
