Bandai Namco Online have announced the Windows PC release date for their free-to-play hero shooter, Gundam Evolution.
Gundam Evolution will release on September 21st for Windows PC (via Steam), with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series XIS versions coming on November 30th. If you missed it, you can find our preview of the closed network test here.
Alongside the release date announcement was a pair of trailers showing off several newly announced mobile suits: the Zaku II Melee Loadout (which is based on Dozle Zabi’s custom Zaku with its oversized heat hawk), the Mahiroo from ∀ Gundam, and the ever-popular Unicorn Gundam. This brings the game’s announced roster so far up to 17 mobile suits. The mission briefing trailer also showed off the new maps Wilderness Mining Facility, Guiana Highlands, Harbor City, and Security Terminal.
We also got a brief sneak peek at some of the many cosmetics players will be able to unlock to customize their mobile suits, including mobile suit skins, weapon skins, MVP splash screens, stamps, emotes, player icons, and weapon ornaments. The anemic cosmetic offering was one of my biggest concerns with the closed network test, so it’s nice to see a bunch of new stuff that wasn’t in the beta.
