Fortnite is known for bringing along many crossover skins and items from numerous franchises. Now, the legendary manga/anime series Dragon Ball can be added to the very long list, as announced by Epic Games.
The crossover will allow you to be able to play as Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma with new skins. Shenron and Goku’s famous nimbus cloud will also be available as mounts to ride on top of. The former of which must be earned through a series of quests that will grant players dragon balls.
The legendary move, Goku’s Kamehameha wave, is also usable during gameplay. However – it is not available in their competitive playlists, but rather the new Tournament of Power playlist, named after the most recent and last arc shown in Dragon Ball Super.

This event will also bring a plethora of emotes, items, and even new locations based on the Dragon Ball franchise. They also shared details that players will be able to go to a theater spot in-game to be able to watch certain episodes of the Dragon Ball Super anime.
The concept of a space for players to not actually play the game isn’t new in Fortnite. As developer Epic Games have continued to invest into the concept of the Metaverse and has held other in-game events such as concerts and video of Black Lives Matter. The latter of which had unintended results.
