We’ve told you that a new version of Baldur’s Gate was coming this day. And of course selecting a character is always one of the key choices to spend hours mulling over in any respectable player.
Now it’s possible to create an AI-generated Baldur’s Gate character in the game. You can also edit the character’s appearance to look like a random youth. There is a waiting list for Baldur’s Gate 3 as well, which is available now.AI-generated character portraits for Baldur’s Gate
The AI-generated character portraits in Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition are a welcome innovation for fans of the fantasy RPG. A key decision in developing an RPG character is how to present the character’s unique personality. This is an area that was previously subject to tedious input. Fortunately, AI-generated character portraits have become a reality, as we will see with Dall-E 2
Dall-E 2
An AI-generated Dall-E 2 character can be created in-game. It’s a fun little tool that generates hilarious images for social media. While the technology is not perfect, it’s not out of reach for gamers. For example, an AI-generated Dall-E character could be a barbarian who wears leather armor and has a purple face paint. Alex Hay, an independent app developer and documentary movie editor, has been experimenting with an AI picture generator called Dall-E 2. This AI generator is so easy to use that anyone can use it to make funny social media videos.
DALL-E 2 could solve the character creation problem that plagued Baldur’s Gate. The game’s creators took action after gamers complained about boring, self-inserted characters. Using the top picks from the Baldur’s Gate 3 character creator and combining them with the AI-generated character creator, Larian came up with a default character that was white and in his mid-twenties
“A portrait of a large bald barbarian with purple face paint. A hamster sits on his shoulder. The scene is at sundown and he wears armour constructed from leather-based. Epic fantasy artwork, sharp, award successful on Artstation, 4k HD”

gMinion
An AI-generated character is a game character created by computer coders who are dedicated to making games more challenging and entertaining. While the original gMinion was created by Greg Hodgson, aka Sarkyn, the project is now maintained by Eric Kerr. The gMinion series has recently been updated to incorporate the new ToB expansion pack. The main creator of the AI, Goran Rimen, has a long history of creating AIs for games.
A character portrait is a crucial decision in CRPGs. For example, the portrait of a character can affect a player’s level of skill in a game. A personality portrait is key to studying highly skilled workers. Similarly, AI can be used to create myth mugshots for games.
eSeries
If you’re sick of running into the same old characters in your Baldur’s Gate games, then you can now have an AI-generated character created for you by eSeries. These scripts are compatible with the original game, Shadows of Amn, and Enhanced Edition, and they can be customized for seven different character classes . While some of the abilities are common, others are specific to a particular class.
