The Dark World: Karma has been revealed by Pollard Studio during Tokyo Game Show, and it is a psychological horror coming in 2023. The game has been confirmed to be heading to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Switch. The trailer shows a world where everyone’s heads seem to have been replaced with televisions, along with a number of creepy sequences involving slamming doors and floating bodies.
The plot outline for The Dark World: Karma says, “For some reason, you’ve returned here. Everything has become strange. Your name, your appearance, your voice, and all your memories. Through the help of an old man, you connected with your past memories by way of a strange tape, and embarked on a journey to find your memories. In this dark world, experience strange encounters and wade through fragmented memories. As an investigation officer, uncover the truth and find the source of all the happenings.”
The Dark World: Karma is a first person narrative title in which you will need to be aware of your surroundings. The world has monsters scurrying around and other people that are threats. Each memory will contain specific clues that will help you escape from them. You are employed by the Leviathan Corporation as a Roam officer who can delve into other’s minds. However, as you do so you will come across other truths and will question whether to be loyal to the company or to work out what is happening the dark zone.
