Best Defense Form Deoxys Raid counters in 2022
Welcome to the Season of Light Pokemon Trainers. The first event of the Season of Light welcomes back a popular Psychic event to Pokemon Go, the Psychic Spectacular. During the event, Psychic Pokemon will spawn in abundance. Beyond the addition of Mega Alakazam, Niantic will host a raid day featuring Deoxys. All variations of Deoxys will spawn from September 1st to September 13th.
The Deoxys raid day will take place on September 11th, 2022; it will feature all variations of Deoxys raids (Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed). Keep an eye out, because you might encounter a shiny Deoxys if you take down the raid. Earlier today, we revisited the best Mega Alakazam raid counters in Pokemon Go, now let’s discuss the different Deoxys raid counters. Up second is the Defense Form Deoxys Raid.
Defense Form Deoxys Raid Stats
- Defense Form Deoxys is a Psychic-type Pokemon.
- It is weak to Bug, Ghost, or Dark-type moves.
- Defense Form Deoxys’ Raid CP is 36,170
- Defense Form Deoxys’ Base HP is 137
- Its Attack is 144 and Defense is 330
- The Base catch CP is between 1,228 to 1299
- The Boosted Catch CP is between 1,535 to 1,624
- It is Weather Boosted by Windy weather
- Its Fast moves can be Zen Headbutt or Counter
- Its Charged moves can be Thunderbolt, Rock Slide, or Psycho Boost
Defense Form Deoxys Raid Counters
Going into the Defense Form Deoxys Raid, trainers will need Pokemon with type effective moves or high attack stats. Overall, Defense Form Deoxys is a bit of a tank; it has a high defensive stat making it a bit of a grind. Thankfully it is easy to take down due to its vulnerabilities. The raid can be easily completed by a team of 4 to 6 trainers; a team of 6 to 10 trainers can take it down quicker and a team of 8 to 20 trainers can burn through it making a better completionist bonus.
Using Mega Pokemon such as Mega Gengar, Mega Gyarados, Mega Absol, Mega Houndoom, and Mega Beedrill will make the battle a lot easier for most trainers. Ultimately, you will want to use Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type Pokemon. Be careful, because the raid can be difficult if using Fighting and Psychic-type Pokemon.
Here are the best counters to overcoming the raid. Some of these recommendations can be substituted out for Pokemon with type advantage or a better move set.
